FBSA's NEW SELECT SOFTBALL CLUB

 ***FBSA is excited to now offer three avenues for frisco girls to play softball: Recreational, Double A and Select Softball.***

We are now accepting applications for coaches and players who are looking to be considered for select level competition.

NTBA SPRING 2010 SEASON - OPEN REGISTRATION 8CP-14 & (NEW 14/15U 60/90)

  • $1400 per team includes:
  • NEW 60/90 for 14U-15U limited space available
  • 14 Games NIT league and State Qualifier  
  • 50% league games will be hosted under home registration
  • 1 dozen baseballs per team 
  • Single elimination postseason tourney
  • 1st & 2nd trophies awarded in league and post tourney
  • Games to be played Monday through Thursday
  • 8U start times 6:00 & 7:30pm; 9U/10U start times 6:00pm & 7:45pm; 11U/12U/13U/14U start times 6:00pm & 8:00pm
  • Games will be played in Frisco, Allen, McKinney, and Celina only

 

Season Start Date: March 22, 2010 through June 11, 2010  

Last day for registration: February 19, 2010  

 

No more than TWO blackout dates per team.  Preliminary Schedules out by March 5th for review.   Final Schedules posted by March 12th. Blackout dates already scheduled - Spring Break in all cities is March 15-19, 2010. TAKS tests on April 5, 6, 7, and 8 - No games the night before tests. Dates will be updated and corrected as information is received.

Rules: NTX USSSA, USSSA National, Major League 

 

USSSA Roster, Team Insurance, Team Roster loaded on NTBA must be completed by deadline.

 

End of Season Play-off June 1-5 or June 8-12. Season standings will determine seeding.

 

  • Note that age is determined by player's age on 4/30/2010. USSSA age chart for Baseball. 
  • The FBSA Select Baseball League will be participating in the North Texas Baseball Alliance (NTBA) inter-city play, so some travel to area cities will be required.   
  •  A minimum of 60% of the players on each select team roster must meet Frisco residency requirements to register with FBSA as their home association. (Contact FBSA at the email link below if you do not meet this requirement and would like to apply for an exemption)
  • A minimum of 4 teams, including teams registered in other participants of the North Texas Baseball Alliance, must sign up for the league to be played.    
  • All Select team Coaches must attend the FBSA Coach’s meeting on TBD.  Select registration packets and checks may be turned in on that day to the Select Director. 

Coaches interested in forming a select team are encouraged to list their team name and contact information on the FBSA website.  Coaches should contact the FBSA Select League Director,  FBSA Baseball Commissioner, or any of the existing coaches for information and advice on forming a select team.   Additional teams may pay a fee to enter the tournaments depending on the number of teams registered for league play.
