Preseason Tournament general rules:
1. Seeding is by random draw.
2. Home team shall be decided by a pre-game coin flip.
3. There are no ties.
4. All elimination games (Early round games up through semi-final games) that are tied after one extra inning (time has expired and one extra inning is played and the game is still tied) shall continue the game using a form of the "California Tiebreaker" system, which is as follows:
- Each team will start with two outs and a runner on second.
- The runner on second is the player who made the last out the previous inning.
- Each team then plays to the 3rd out and completes the inning until there is a winner.
- All other rules remain the same (i.e., pitching rules, run limit rules, etc.)
4. Championship games will be subject to time limits but will NOT utilize the "California Tiebreaker" system shown above. They should play full/regular extra innings until a winner is determined. |
